The northside road winds between the statue of Saint Leo I on the left and the classroom/abbey building on the right. A 1936 state approved WPA project hard surfaced the roads in Saint Leo.

Earlier Saint Leo nestled amid orange groves which were devasted by a succession of winter freezes since the 1960s. Water tower is in the center backgound, on the right is present St. Leo Hall, on the left is the first monastery and later classroom.
